About Me
I am an Interaction Designer at Intuitive Surgical designing the next generation of the da Vinci Surgical Robot. I get excited about designing complex products that help people. Let’s talk about how I can help you with a hard problem.
My Story
For most of my life, I was on the path towards becoming a surgeon. Before committing to a medical school, I thought critically about my path and something didn’t feel quite right. I was sensing that my skills were better suited for something different.
I joined Intuitive Surgical in search of my next challenge. In a quality assurance role, I used the robot to perform simulated surgical procedures. I found my calling in interaction design, using empathy and creativity to design elegant solutions for complex systems.
After receiving three promotions, I outgrew my imposter syndrome and found my stride in the design space. I am grateful to my mentors, the incredible design team, and my fantastic managers who have trusted me with such impactful projects.
Hobby spotlight: Pottery
It all started because I loved the feeling of playing with clay. It stuck with me because of the meditative flow and continuous opportunity for improvement.
